Let the Sun in...
Are you adding on a sun room to your house? I love a sunroom in a house….it is usually the family hangout location for many reasons. A sunroom has great light for reading, for homework, and for warming your spirit on a cold day! It is usually a room with a view – maybe to include a picturesque lake, a great colorful garden, a rambling green space- play area or even the family pool. Also, it is usually the transition location between the interior parts of your home and the outside living areas….and you can treat it in different ways with using it more like a “keeping room” equipped with your TV or an extension of your living area with plants and cozy nooks to be a more private area. You can let the sun in with your needs in mind!

A Love for the Sea
Linda's Living Area oozes with comfort with her scrumptious fabrics, wonderful seating areas, a feeling of relaxation, and filled with the ambience of the sea. The traditional colors of the urchins of the ocean are underlying tones to the earthy reds, chocolates, tortoise shell and gold tones throughout. Every turn of the room grabs your attention with unique collectibles, artwork and accessories to reflect her love for the sea coast and her love for color!Baubles and bangles from the sea are used throughout Linda's home to reflect her collectible spirit with her attraction to the sea coast and its mysteries. Whether it's a turtle that is a wonderful box or fabulous sea shells of every description and size or sculpture of corals, it is candy for your eyes. Custom built bookcases enhanced with faux finish and lighting adds details to the room, a place to display her collectibles, and even a glass "prop" for social gatherings. Every detail was considered in the design of the cabinetry and "recycled" faux finished furniture that took on a different character with customized accents.

Shannon's Vibrant Home
Tradition and color…..two very important aspects in the design of this interior! Unique accessories and classic fabrics full of color are repeated throughout the formal Dining Room and Living Room. The attention to detail from the fringes, trims, custom designed pillows, exquisite window treatments, floral arrangements, classic custom furniture of tapestries and textures, unusual and elaborate accessories, dynamic wool area rugs and more all speak to an elegant but comfortable environment that Shannon was looking for with our design plan.

Noah's Room
Let’s play BALL! Any kind of ball game is a good fit in Noah’s bedroom, as long as it is for a GEORGIA BULLDAWG. Red and black is the color scheme and the artwork is all about caricatures of the football games. Using outgrown sweatshirts for pillows even makes the bed coverings fun and easy, and adding UGA helmet Christmas ornaments for decorative elements on window treatments give it that UGA pizzazz!

Welcome with Botanicals
Romantic color tones, sheer and elegant silks, and classic furnishings set the mood for this wonderful Master Bedroom. It's an oasis of comfort enhanced with custom designed pillows and bed coverings that add the ambience to the room. The sheer botanical fabric on the windows, with an elegant decorative rod, add the final touch to the romantic bedroom and allow the beautiful view of the gardens in back of their home.Linda and Larry's love for botanicals is a common thread in the character of their lovely home. In order to display the many collectible antique botanicals they have accumulated, we chose several of our favorites to have custom framed to create a gallery effect in the foyer. It is their personal version of Welcome to our Home! To accentuate the botanicals even more, unique accessories and a colorful rug add a chic look to a classic design, and add warmth to a large foyer area with an inviting appeal.
Ethnic treasures collected and displayed effectively through out this sitting are are reflected in this custom framed mirror. Highlighting the rich jewel tones in the fabrics, repitition of color and detail can also be found in the many wonderful accessories and artwork.
Here's what Linda had to say about her experience with Cumby:
"Having remodeled our home, completely changing paint colors, carpeting, and furniture in many of our rooms, I was in need of new window treatments, artwork and accessories to complete the decorating. I truly was overwhelmed with all of the decisions and the time involved in finding fabrics and coordinating these elements into our new look. I had never really considered using an interior designer as I wanted the look to be "ours" not someone else's. However, a friend recommended Columbia's Custom Interiors and after further inspection, I was quite impressed with the style and the quality of the workmanship on her window treatments. I made the call and from our initial consultation, I felt comfortable with Cumby. I had some specific ideas about what I wanted but I relied on her expertise to transform my ideas into a finished product that would enhance the remodeling we had done. She listened to my thoughts and presented me with options in both style and fabric. I relied on her knowledge and experience to guide me to make the correct decision as the window treatments truly are one of the most visible and important elements in decorating. I am very pleased with Cumby's work thus far and Ilook forward to working with her in our next steps in completing our renovation." - Linda

Living Room
The Formal Living Room is not appropriate in every floor plan, as in this case. This “living area” is filled with vibrant jewel tones to enrich this large scale vaulted room with a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. This room started with a clean canvas and transformed into a workable “living area” for family needs as well as a great entertaining area. The club chairs are a little deceiving, in that they are swivel rockers to be able to turn a view the TV, hidden away in the built-ins. Beautiful textured fabrics coupled with several furniture finishes have given this room a timeless appeal. Attention to details with custom designed pillows and fine accessories put the finishing touches on Samantha’s Living Room!
Here's what Samantha had to say about her experience with Cumby's Interiors:
"Cumby did an exceptional job creating the living room we have always wanted. Her eye for color and design helped us pull the room together. She listened to all our needs and desires and integrated them into a finished product - something we had not been able to achieve on our own. Most recently we decided to update and redesign our Master Bedroom to fit our needs. Again, Cumby helped us to pull it all together with some special needs for storage that were beautifully designed so that we were certainly happy with the results, yet others are not aware of the 'hidden design features' that we used. We continue to work on our design priorities with Cumby's help and expertise!"

ANTIQUES set the tone….
This house is filled with wonderful character antiques, some that are truly special with sentimental attachments and new ones added to fit the style and the look that Loveanne wanted in her home. I think that you find it difficult to differentiate the reproductions from antiques in both furniture and accessories. Even the built-ins and architectural elements were created to feel old and inspired. Beautiful rich fabrics and jewel tones can be found throughout the beautiful interiors, from the casual living areas to the more formal spaces.

Roswell Woman's Club
In the Roswell Woman’s Showhouse, this room is the Lady’s Retreat, an open area just adjacent to the kids’ playroom and at the top of the back stairs. The colors started with the rich warm colors of golds and reds with accents of black, and used to create a sophisticated “haven” to work or relax for the busy lifestyle. Mixing furnishings of the bold and new with the character antiques created a timeless feel with a fabulous faux finish on the walls that added a dynamic look to this transition area in the home.

Pool House
This POOL house covers a lot of territory…..from the magnificent pool table to the beautiful backyard pool just outside. In keeping that in mind, we pulled in rich tapestry fabrics and soft and weathered leathers to accompany old pine ceilings and antique pieces. An old bar that was pulled from an old pub was incorporated in this huge great room with many treasured accessories that tell the story of this family and their love for Georgia football. There’s even an OLD dial up antique phone! The “guys” really like to hang out here with the updated comforts of home - the big screen TV, a well stocked kitchen and bar, and overnight accommodations for guests! Wouldn’t you like to be invited to this pool house too?
